About Ian
Ian is a qualified solicitor and CEDR accredited mediator, with over 30 years experience resolving disputes.
For much of his career Ian has specialised in employment law, primarily but not always acting for employers. Whatever the party, his focus has been on reaching a hopefully amicable resolution of the dispute - without the parties facing the hazards of litigation. He understands that while courts, tribunals and others in adjudicative roles will make decisions as to who may be right or wrong in terms of compliance with the law, such decisions do not necessarily resolve all matters in dispute. What is almost certain, however, is that such processes come at considerable financial and emotional cost for all involved, and often take a long time before a conclusion is reached.
